Function of Solenoid Actuated Diaphragm Pump: Solenoid works on the principle of electromagnetism. When the electric current passes through the coil, the magnetic field is generated. When a metal core is placed inside the coil, the magnetic lines of flux are concentrated on the core. This increases the induction of the coil as compared to the air core.
Solenoid pumps are a class of positive displacement pump which use a diaphragm and solenoid assembly to displace the fluid into the discharge line. The solenoid assembly consists of an electromagnet and spring. When current is applied to a solenoid the electromagnetic core moves a diaphragm into the discharge position.
The Coil actuation is regulated with help of a special electronic card & flow rate is regulated by means of regulating stroke frequency. With additional feature of scaling down the stroke frequency to 25% this pump has a very high turn down ratio Upto 1:25.
As the Diaphragm is tightly sealed between two solid parts, practically seals are not required to making this pump a seal less & zero leakage pump.
The diaphragm is manufactured from solid PTFE and it is supported by a backup disc enabling it to withstand working pressures Upto 11 Kg. /Cm.2. The diaphragm has very high life due to this special design.
